Geelong’s Gary Ablett had an emotional reunion with his son Levi after leaving his club’s Western Australia hub to fly back to Melbourne.

Gary Ablett has been reunited with his son Levi and wife Jordan as the family rallies together during tough times.
Ablett returned from Geelong’s hub in Perth to be with his 18 month-old who he recently revealed was battling a rare degenerative disease.
Jordan posted a photo of Levi on Instagram on Friday from the Royal Children’s Hospital with the caption: “My brave boy”.
Today she posted a photo of the pair’s emotional reunion at Melbourne Airport with the words “We missed you” and a love heart.
Ablett, 36, who will retire at the end of this season, is adamant he hasn’t played his last game for the Cats.
He will train here and then could rejoin his teammates after a 14 day quarantine in Queensland.
Geelong general manager of football Simon Lloyd said the club would support the dual Brownlow medallist as he battled through challenging circumstances.
Jordan has also revealed that she is caring for her mum as she battles cancer.
When Ablett played his 350th match recently, Jordan told the Herald Sun that fatherhood was Gary’s priority for the future.
“I certainly believe physically he could keep going, he’s very disciplined with his eating, training and recovery,” she said.
“However I just know that being a Dad is now his number one priority and having been in the game for already 19 years, I don’t believe he’s willing to give up the precious moments anymore that he’s missed so much of in the past because of the demands of footy. He’s had to do that for the most part of his career, but I don’t believe he has to or wants to now.”
