As much as we love to follow players on the field we also love to know about their off field lives. There is a reason why the Brownlow Medal picture gallery is one of the most viewed, rivalling the Oscars and the Grammys. Who’s dating who, what are they wearing, where are they going? These are some of the newest and most followed ‘it’ couples of the footy world.
Trent Rivers and Paris Stubberfield
The Melbourne star, who was part of Melbourne’s 2021 premiership side in just his second season, lives with model Stubberfield who has more than 100,000 followers on Instagram. She is also very witty on social media including TikTok.
Rory Lobb and Lexi Mary
This is a new couple to Melbourne, having moved from Fremantle to the Bulldogs, and they give plenty of creative entertainment on social media. Lexi, an advertising executive, is prolific on TikTok — one post drawing attention when she referenced Lobb’s demotion to the VFL.
Ben Hobbs and Scarlett Mayer
The rising Essendon midfielder and model met last year and share a passion for sport. Mayer has been signed with Brooklyn Management for more than two years after director Brooklyn Edwards scouted her on Instagram when she had just completed a bachelor degree in business.
Sam Durham and Paris Bishop
A romance that was only made insta-official this week, the Essendon star and Chadwick model, are certainly ones to watch. Bishop is well known in social circles while Durham has been a key player in the Bombers’ success this season.
Josh Daicos and Annalise Dalins
Not a new couple but this is footy’s ultimate modern day ‘it’ couple. The Collingwood premiership star and model/influencer are taking the social scene by storm with Dalins growing her following by the day. Their biggest gig together so far has been as Grand Prix ambassadors.
Mason Wood and Mikaela Jade Schreuder
A real glamour couple, St Kilda’s reliable swingman and the Melbourne model and dancer, caught our attention last year. Schreuder, whose mum Celeste Billinge was a hostess on The Price Is Right, has been working at shows around the world.
Curtis Taylor and Hannah Ilhan
In April North Melbourne player Taylor, posted the first picture with Ilhan, the daughter of late “Crazy John” mobile phone tycoon John Ilhan and respected businesswoman and philanthropist Patricia Ilhan. She is best friends with Brooke Warne who is a cousin of Taylor.
Jy Simpkin and Demi Brereton
The photogenic couple stood out at the Brownlow and during the Melbourne Cup Carnival where Brereton was an ambassador. The North Melbourne co-captain hasn’t had the easiest time on field but he’s kicking goals off it.
Pat Lipinski and Chloe Geraerts
Collingwood young gun with a keen eye for fashion is a perfect match for Geraerts who also works in the industry with popular brand Nakedvice. Lipinski looks to be more comfortable now doing social appearances.
Kyle Langford and Lulu Scott-Young
The Essendon goalkicker and his stunning partner, who works in real estate, made several best dressed lists at the Brownlow. Scott-Young was one of many styled by Paul Versace from Styled by Bloom.
Bailey Scott and Bella Henry
A breath of fresh air this sweet couple has been a welcome addition to event guest lists. The consistent North Melbourne utility has been dating the fashion marketing co-ordinator and model for more than two years.
Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and Liv Kelly
The Bulldogs forward and fitness trainer don’t crave the limelight but they catch the eye when listed to attend an event. They have proudly stepped out to support Caulfield racing and other brands, and may do more in future.
Tim Taranto and Tash Hoole
A debutant at the Brownlow, Hoole who works for Deloitte, turned heads on the arm of the former GWS turned Richmond midfielder. The understated couple met in Sydney and Hoole’s style makes for worthy following on social media.
Conor Nash and Grace Ireland
Who would have thought Hawthorn’s Irish star Conor Nash would meet a stunning Aussie with the surname Ireland. Grace is a model, woman in tech and a pilates trainer who is also an F1 fanatic. The pair looked very well suited to the red carpet at Glamour on the Grid.
Daniel Rioli and Paris Lawrence
A long-time couple but still so young and still making their mark. The Richmond defender and DJ have amassed a big following and Lawrence shares glimpses into their day-to-day life and her fashion interests.
Zach Merrett and Alexandra Bourne
Regulars on the footy scene having been together for almost a decade, the pair is now elevating to A-list status. The Essendon captain is entering the fashion world with a brand of clothing and Bourne rarely puts a foot wrong in the style stakes.
