Bachelor in Paradise 2020: Who are this year's lovers?

Angie Kent doesn’t subscribe to the theory that she’s only entitled to 15 minutes of fame.

The former Goggleboxer, Bachelorette and reality show regular has launched a new podcast this week with Nova called Angie Tries It.

“I feel women can have their fingers in different pies.... you can be on television and write a book and have a podcast,’’ Kent said.

“I think Australians love to say ‘15 minutes of fame’. Is it 15 minutes of fame or is it a chance to explore and do something you’re good at?

“It’s proof now with a lot of young women having a podcast or writing a book that you can have more. People have watched me on TV and now I get to do what I want to do with that experience.”

Angie Kent says her 15 minutes of fame isn’t up.

Kent’s podcast covers the most alternative, hilarious and sometimes straight up bizarre wellness therapies out there.

“It’s kind of like my first baby really,’’ she said.

“With everything else it’s been a show that’s already formatted and I’m part of it whereas this is my baby with Nova and I get to talk about things I really care about.”

Kent says she doesn’t have time for love at the moment.

“After going through a break-up and COVID and keyhole surgery, last year was big for me,’’ she said.

“A realisation of where I need to be and where I want to be. I went through a rough patch but I’m really happy again.

“I haven’t had time to start thinking about dating again at all. After the break up (with Carlin Sterritt) I did my own thing and then moved back home and bought my first home (on the Gold Coast Hinterland) and I’m just working hard on myself and my work.

She added: “No dudes for me. I think dating 20 dudes in one year on national television was enough to keep me going for a while.”
