The AFL’s Gather Round kicked off in style with a VIP welcome dinner in Adelaide.
The who’s who of the footy world came together in Glenelg to celebrate the second edition of the unique concept where all games are played in South Australia.
Eddie McGuire said it was getting bigger and bigger, not just for the locals but for the whole country.
“It’s quite amazing and a beautiful atmosphere here,” McGuire said.
The night featured a surprise performance by iconic singer Tina Arena as AFL commission chairman Richard Goyder and AFL CEO Andrew Dillon welcomed guests.
Other notable faces included Seven’s legendary commentator Bruce McAvaney, Collingwood president Jeff Browne and Fox Footy’s Sarah Jones who hosted the night.
