“One year I was in swimmers and I didn’t like it so I’m learning my lesson,’’ Smith said. “It’s a vanity thing, I’ll be honest — I’m too vain to walk down the catwalk like I have in the past.”
Smith said his goals were about looking lean and healthy, which is what Australia wants in its models.
“You’ve got to lead a healthy and honest lifestyle and we’re lucky here in Australia that Myer want athletic and healthier looking models,’’ he said. “In my eyes that’s really sexy in a woman.”
Smith, who was a judge at the castings last year, said he was looking forward to sharing the spotlight again with fellow Myer ambassadors
Jen Hawkins and Kate Peck.
A model casting was held yesterday at Myer in Bourke St, a day after Sydney held a casting.
“I love the Spring/Summer show because you get to feel like a rockstar and can walk down the catwalk in sunglasses and look funky,’’ Smith said.
