Denise Drysdale is returning to showbiz two years after recovering from the painful effects of a rare nerve disorder.
The TV legend, 74, had been admitted to hospital with a form of neuralgia and was unable to eat, talk, brush her teeth, sleep or laugh.
She is teaming up with her long-time friend Normie Rowe to perform their new show, The Two of Us, in Melbourne and Geelong.
The two national treasures are promising hits, surprises, banter, dancing and loads of fun.
They met in the 60s when Rowe was an emerging recording artist appearing on The GO!! Show and Drysdale was recognised as Australia’s first go-go dancer on a new music show, Kommotion.
Drysdale, affectionately known as ‘Ding Dong’, lost her dear friend Ernie Sigley in 2021 — she was his barrel girl on his popular national program, The Ernie Sigley Show, and was also a star on Hey Hey It’s Saturday.
Drysdale and Rowe will hit the stage on June 30 at Shoppingtown Hotel, Doncaster and July 1 at The Sphinx Hotel, Geelong.
