FORMER Magpies superstar Dane Swan will headline a Melbourne International Comedy Festival show in April.
The Brownlow medallist, now starring in Channel 10’s reality show I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here, will do a no-holds-barred conversation with football satirist and commentator Titus O’Reily.
“I’m allowed to ask anything, such as what it’s like to be one of the most scrutinised people in Melbourne and if he’s upset he’s run out of room for tattoos,” O’Reily told Confidential.
“We are both very different people which should be interesting. He’s happy to head off to the jungle, while I consider going to Etihad Stadium ‘leaving civilisation’.”

Asked whether Swan was a suitable Comedy Festival headliner, O’Reily said: “Dane has the ability to be both intentionally and unintentionally funny, a rare combination.
“For instance, he only ended up on I’m a Celebrity because he thought ‘The Jungle’ was a nightclub.”
O’Reily said he was curious about what motivated Swan’s acclaimed football career. “I don’t need a scoop, so I don’t really have to be polite. This really will be no holds barred. Dane has got this reputation as a party boy, but there’s a flip side: to get to where he did, you’ve got to be driven and disciplined.”
Swan and O’Reily will be at the Yarraville Club on April 8 as part of the Comedy Festival.
