Dancing With The Stars moves to Channel 10 with hosts Grant Denyer, Amanda Keller

IF anyone has walked a mile in the shoes of Dancing With The Stars contestants, it’s TV presenters Amanda Keller and Grant Denyer. The pair have both competed and will be hosting the new-look dance show after Channel 7 axed it.

IF anyone has walked a mile in the shoes of Dancing With The Stars contestants, it’s TV presenters Amanda Keller and Grant Denyer.

The dynamic duo, who have been chosen to host the Channel 10 reboot of the prime-time favourite, are not only former contestants, Denyer actually took home the trophy.

While they won’t be slipping back on their dancing shoes, Keller said: “Grant and I have had the length and breadth of experience.

“He won, he is good. I enjoyed learning the dances but wasn’t that good at doing them and was voted off pretty early. I recently found my old dancing shoes and was thinking of burning them. It was that bad.”

Channel 10 recently announced it would resurrect the show that was axed from Channel 7 after 15 series.

More than 150 celebrities, from Olympic athletes to pop stars, were on the Seven show.

But Denyer and Keller said there were many celebrities ready to hit the dance floor again.

At the top of Denyer’s dream list of contestants would be convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby, who he said could “bring a mountain of drama and all the boogie-board contraband a contestant could dream of to take the pain away from all the injuries”.

Keller is aiming a little higher: “I would love to see Barack and Michelle Obama. Maybe Donald Trump if we could get him with Putin. Actually Malcolm Turnbull has a bit of time on his hands.”

Denyer said: “I can guarantee this will be a refreshed, glossier, sexier and more shiny version.”
