CURTIS Stone hasn’t ruled out opening a restaurant in his home town of Melbourne.

The celebrity chef has two successful restaurants in Los Angeles, where he is based.

“I never say never,” he said.

“It’s been a super full-on year opening my butcher shop and restaurant, Gwen.

“I’ve been lucky enough to work with my brother, Luke, on this project, who moved his whole family out to Los Angeles from Oz to open Gwen with me.

“Maude, my first restaurant I opened in Los Angeles, is about to go into its fourth year of operation, which is hard to believe.

“Am I ready to take on another restaurant? I’m not sure.

“Watch this space.”

Gwen has received rave reviews and was named the hottest restaurant to eat at by an influential Los Angeles food blog.

Stone, who went to school in Essendon, was in Melbourne for the Spring Racing Carnival before jetting back to the US to spend Halloween with his family.

But he and his wife, Lindsay, and their children Hudson and Emerson, will be in Australia for Christmas.

“I’m spending this Christmas Down Under and bringing along my wife and two boys, so we’re excited for a summer Christmas together with my parents,” he said.
