Craig McRae says of his wife Gabrielle ‘she doesn’t even watch the ending’

Collingwood coach Craig McRae has revealed his wife Gabrielle may not be able to withstand a close finish and could end up hiding in an unusual location at the end of the game.

Collingwood coach Craig McRae says his pregnant wife, Gabrielle, will definitely be at the MCG on Saturday, but she may not be able to withstand a close finish.

“Every game we go to when they’re close, she goes to the toilet for the last 10 minutes,’’ McRae said.

“She doesn’t even watch the ending. She can’t watch and then she waits for the song and then goes ‘Oh, we’re OK’.”

McRae, who has two daughters, and Gabrielle (right) are expecting their first child together around the middle of next month.

The good news emerged as Magpies star Jack Crisp awaits the safe arrival of his third child.

Wife Mikayla is due this week, but has been hoping to give birth either before or after the game.

The couple, who share two daughters, have already agreed that he won’t miss the game.
