Corey Feldman is determined to have as many people as possible see his film about what he claims is rampant paedophilia in Hollywood.
The former 1980s child star is holed up overseas location after fleeing the US following the premiere of My Truth: The Rape of 2 Coreys last month.
“I haven’t given up. You can hear the anger and frustration in my voice,” Feldman told Confidential.
“This is a movie about children getting raped and molested and the very people that did it are trying to silence it from being exposed.”
Feldman and wife Courtney Anne Mitchell escaped to a secret location after being subjected to several threats against his life.
After some initial technical difficulties, which Feldman claimed to be ‘Wolf Pack’ hackers trying to shut down the screening, the movie played out online for an initial 48 hour period last month.
“We know that if we were at home, where we are locked in and they know where we live, we would just be sitting ducks,” Feldman explained. “I had to leave the country because of all of the threats we were getting. My car was broken into while I’ve been gone, they stole everything out of my car and we know that it was the same people that have been stalking and terrorising. The attacks have been endless and relentless.”
Known as ‘The two Coreys’ in their 1980s heyday, Feldman claims he and Haim were sexually abused as young actors by powerful figures in Hollywood.
The Rape of 2 Coreys is a passion project several years in the making for Feldman, who timed its release on the 10 year anniversary of Haim’s untimely death from pneumonia after years of drug addiction at the age of 38.
About 500,000 people saw the movie when it was released last month and Feldman will again put out the film on April 22 as a video on demand offering.
The explosive documentary feature outed actor Charlie Sheen for allegedly raping Feldman’s best friend, fellow child star Corey Haim when he was aged 13 on the set of their 1986 film, Lucas. Sheen was 19 at the time and has strongly denied the allegations.
Other high profile Hollywood identities were also named in the documentary while Disney star Ricky Garcia appears in the film talking about the sexual abuse he suffered.
Feldman too was a victim of sexual assault as a child actor.
“I can guarantee you millions of lives have been lost than the coronavirus will ever touch because of paedophilia,” Feldman said, adding that 22 is his lucky number while 222 was Haim’s. “April 22 seems the appropriate time to put the movie back out and with the world in quarantine right now, everyone’s attention is focused on anything but going outside. While we have everyone’s undivided attention, the most important thing they can learn about is how to protect their children from the much bigger disease that will be lurking outside their door the moment they leave their home.”
