Chrissie Swan admits she was surprised by her emotional debut on the runway.
The radio broadcaster was one of a diverse mix of celebrities and real women who were part of Priceline’s Beauty Runway in support of the Sisterhood Foundation.
“I had a little cry,’’ Swan said after her magical moment at the VAMFF event.
“It took me by surprise. I know that I’m a sook, but everyone’s face coming down, it was just like, ‘yes!’.
“It was really great so I did get a bit emotional.”
Swan opened the runway alongside I’m a Celebrity contestant Tanya Hennessy, who she calls her little sister.
“My initial thoughts were I can’t possibly (do this),’’ Swan said.
“People think because I work in radio that I like being the centre of attention and I’m an extrovert, but I’m actually not.
“I really was incredibly nervous but the power of a suit and knowing that everyone wants to see you, that makes it easier to do.
“People were seeing themselves for the first time. Short people, young people, old people, it was a great cross-section.
“It’s powerful to be seen and represented.”
Swan was also joined by Priceline ambassadors including Ita Buttrose, Olivia Rogers and Sarah Jane Adams.
Each woman was dressed in a custom black suit by Melbourne designer Effie Kats.
