Carlton captain Patrick Cripps and wife Monique are expecting their first child in April.
In more exciting news for the revitalised club the couple revealed a baby girl is on the way.
“I feel good now, I was really sick for the first half,” Monique told the Herald Sun.
“I’m due early April – we’ll make sure we don’t (miss a game) unless I go early.
“It’s exciting now that I feel good.”
The Blues’ star couple married in December 2022 in Western Australia.
The pair stepped out at Crown on Monday night for Carlton’s Hall of Fame dinner where Cripps was awarded life membership on his 29th birthday.
“He’s excited and he’s getting nervous but it’s a good time of year,” Monique said.
“There’ll be a little girl gang at the club, it’s very cute. All of them are sassy queens.”
Cripps, the 2022 Brownlow Medal winner, led his team to its first preliminary final in nearly 23 years last year.
The midfield star has been flying with the Blues continuing their good form, sitting nicely with two wins from two matches so far this season.
