Former footy star and Channel 7 commentator Campbell Brown had double reason to celebrate at the weekend – welcoming his third son and marking his 40th birthday.

On Friday, Brown and wife Jess welcomed Bailey Jack Brown, a little brother for Boston, 6, and Baker, 2.

“It took us a while to pick out this name but it’s grown on me,’’ Brown said.

“We’re excited to have our own little footy team.”

Brown marked his birthday milestone on Sunday night at The Saint in St Kilda with a gathering of 23 mates.

They included his former Hawks teammates Grant Birchall, Shane Crawford, Luke Hodge, John Barker and Brad Sewell.

Brown’s dad, Mal, was also part of the crew, as was former Sydney Swans star Josh Kennedy, Lions legend Jonathan Brown, Seven’s Hamish McLachlan and Cam Luke, comedian Tommy Little, lawyer Justin Quill, producer Luke Tunnecliffe and St Remio’s Trent Knox.

“I wasn’t sure if everyone could be here for it but everyone flew in, it was great,’’ Brown said.

Brown is also part of the popular Browny’s Podcast alongside Jonathan Brown and host Dean “Deano” Thomas.

He played 205 games, winning a premiership with Hawthorn in 2008 before joining the Gold Coast Suns.
