School’s already out for AFL legend turned broadcaster Brendan Fevola’s attempt to educate his kids at home.
Fevola, who has four kids, said his home schooling class amounted to sugary drinks, a swim, and a failed effort at Grade 4 maths.
Question: How are you and your family coping during lockdown?
Fevola: We are all doing okay. I’m coping pretty well. We’ve got a few of the essentials, which is good. The kids are at home being home schooled. They’re in class now, which would be better than my home school last week which consisted of Netflix, Slurpee’s and swim in the pool. Not much studying went on. Grade 4 maths was way too hard.
Q: What’s on the menu for the next 7 days?
A: We’ve got some pasta some frozen pizza frozen vegies. We’ve got some chicken ready to go, so all sweet.
Q: What are your TV bingeing recommendations?
A: Billions and Power on Stan, Morning Wars (on Apple+) is a great show, and also Stranger on Netflix. That should get you through a couple weeks.
Q: What’s the first thing you’ll do when this is all over?
A: We’ll go back to the community and try to keep them afloat, spend some money, go out for lunch, and go to the pub and have a beer. My wife Alex’s (make up and grooming) shop Runway Room has shut down, so I might get a haircut and the beard shaved.”
