He will hit the ground in work mode, with a scheduled soundcheck at Docklands later today, then his show at a capacity-filled Etihad Stadium at 8.30pm
Bieber’s arrival into Melbourne wraps up a fun-filled week in WA, which included skateboarding, a Harley-Davidson sightseeing tours, and a private meeting with a local Instagram model.
He famously cancelled meet and greets at his shows, complaining the sessions “drained” and “depressed” him.
But Bieber has been generous with fans in WA this week, enjoying cheery bouts of face time with those camped outside his hotel.
In Melbourne, his so-called Beliebers have already begun congregating outside Etihad Stadium, where he will perform on Friday night.
Most were there to get prime positions in the general admission standing zone when gates open at 5.30pm. Others were keen to hear Bieber’s soundcheck for his 100 minute show later today.
His Purpose tour, which has already visited North America and Europe, includes new hits like Sorry and What Do You Mean and breakthrough classics like Baby and Boyfriend.
Bieber’s last visit to Melbourne two years ago was eventful. He posted a video about fan etiquette, and how to approach him.
A few days later, Melbourne model Bailey Scarlett claims her drink was spiked at a private party hosted by Bieber.
