Bec Judd’s lavish LOL party for daughter Billie’s 5th birthday

The fifth birthday party model mum Bec Judd has thrown for her daughter Billie has to be seen to be believed. Is it too much?

Bec Judd threw a lavish birthday party her daughter at the weekend and it was every little girl’s dream.

The 36-year-old model and mother-of-four posted photos of her daughter Billie’s LOL doll-themed birthday and subsequent party on her Instagram account at the weekend.

LOL dolls are the hottest toy on the market and come packaged in a plastic pod, with several layers of clues indicating which doll is hiding inside.

The tiny plastic figurines can cost up to $20 each and the brand has spent months on top of Aussie kids’ wishlists.

Judd posted photographs from Billie’s birthday morning, where she appeared to be unwrapping a steady stream of LOL dolls and products, the day before her party.

“Happy birthday to our one and only Princess,” Judd wrote.

“The LOL Doll obsession is real … for all of us.”

If about 50 LOL dolls on Billie’s birthday wasn’t enough, Judd certainly made up for it at her party.

The entrepreneur went all-out for the event, designing an impressive spread of LOL doll paraphernalia including themed plates, cups, napkins and popcorn buckets.

A LOL doll custom-made birthday cake was the centrepiece of the table, with a tiered selection of LOL doll cupcakes beside it.

LOL doll helium balloons floated behind the table, which featured baskets jammed full of LOL doll balls for guests to crack open.

Judd captioned her photos: “Party time. LOL Doll much?”

The post attracted more than 25,000 likes and more than 640 comments from people, many of whom described the party as every “little girl’s dream”.

But others were quick to point out that the event was ever-so-slightly over the top, with many parents expressing disappointment that they would never be able to provide such a decadent party for their own children.

“My daughter would have loved this party!” one woman wrote.

“Jack’s party tomorrow is going to look nothing like this … feeling very inadequate right now!” another parent wrote.

One mother wrote that the photographs made her efforts “look really crap”, but claimed she obviously had a very different party budget.

Most parents shared their disappointment that they wouldn’t be able to replicate such a lavish event.

The pictures received a lot of love from party planners, cake makers and envious parents across the country.

But others weren’t so sweet.

“Wow she’s spoilt,” one woman wrote.

“Lol sorry I should have said very spoilt,” she continued in a separate comment.

Another person savaged the set-up, labelling it “utterly disgusting!”.

“What overindulgence for a five year old,” the comment read.

“Would probably feed a hundred homeless people for a month. I’m out of here!”

Others used the not-so-subtle art of sarcasm to get their point across.

“Lol I’m sure it’s ‘recyclable’,” one wrote.

“Thanks for showing young mums they don’t have to spend a fortune to throw a great party for their kids. How refreshing,” another joked.

Another person pointed out that Judd’s decision to serve five-year-olds fairy bread on a lush, marble board was … an interesting choice.

“Loving the fairy bread on a marble board. Aussie Classic Chic,” they wrote.

Judd splashed out, even on the fairy bread spread on a marble board.

Others commented on the “next level” cost of such a lavish party for such a little girl.

“Geez that cost you an arm and leg much??” one woman said.

“This birthday is the cutest but would (have) cost a fortune! Look how many LOL dolls there are!” another said.

“Far out that’s a lot of LOL’S!!!”
