The singer, now 22, is making a career comeback and set to star on the new season of The Voice where Vidgen hopes to have another shot at stardom.

But it’s his plumped-up pout that has fans turning their attention away from his killer vocals with the singer admitting the change is a “mix of natural changes” and cosmetic work.

“I’ve never had plastic surgery or any surgery, it’s pretty obvious I have had my lips done with fillers. The funny thing I see articles and people talking about it and for me it’s not a big deal,” Vidgen told Confidential.

“I think with these types of things it’s so common now, especially for people my age, it’s not a big deal. I see it like when you do your makeup or tattoo, it’s all the same.”

In 2011 Vidgen catapulted to fame on Australia’s Got Talent with a mind-blowing rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing.

When Vidgen turned 16 he headed over to the US to try and crack the elusive American market but after two years there, Vidgen returned to Australia and shunned the spotlight.

“The pressure that I put on myself got a bit too much and I wasn’t enjoying it anymore and I wasn’t enjoying singing which was a big red flag. What was the point of doing this if I don’t enjoy it,” he said.

“I studied and worked in different jobs like a receptionist, after school care, worked in aged care, retail and a deli, just wanting to sink my teeth into something normal because I had not lived a normal teenage life until this point.”
