Ash Barty admits she’s terrified of adding another child to the chaos, but the pregnant tennis champion is loving her new life.

Barty retired three years ago and gave birth to son Hayden 18 months ago.

She and husband Garry Kissick are bracing for a busy time.

“As an athlete I used to be the most meticulous, organised person and now it’s absolute carnage,” Barty joked.

“Organised chaos to an extent. But I love it, I absolutely love it. Hayds is a little firecracker and very much a boy’s boy. Loves footy, loves golf, trucks – can’t get him inside.

“It’s been probably the best part of my life, being able to share this next chapter with my husband Garry, and we have no idea what we’re doing but he’s alive and he’s happy.

“Terrified for what is going to come next but we’ll figure it out, I’m sure.”

Barty was special guest at the Emirates Women in Sport celebration.

She said the wraps on Aussie junior Emerson Jones were justified but comparisons were not necessary.

“She won’t be the next me she’ll be the first Emerson,” Barty said.

“Emmo is brilliant, she’s such a lovely young girl and she’s very much at the start of her career.

“Her game, she’s got the potential and she’s probably one of the best young players we’ve seen in quite a while.”

Brownless ready to tie the knot in Queensland

Ruby Brownless has started the countdown to her destination wedding.

Brownless will marry Josh Wallis in Queensland in March.

Her hen’s party is in Sydney next weekend.

“It’s all a surprise, which will be fun so the countdown is officially on,” she said.

“Location was the number one thing for us.”

Brownless and sister Lucy had a day out at the Australian Open with Ralph Lauren. The stylish set included April Rose Pengilly, Annalise Dalins, Grace Hayden and Elle Ray.
