Tennis ace Sir Andy Murray has switched to action man mode after being chased through the streets of Melbourne, into a Chinatown restaurant, and diving through a first floor window to escape.
The high octane pursuit, from his luxury suite in East Melbourne, down Little Bourke St to the West Lake Chinese restaurant, through the kitchen to a back alley, then a sprint west to the Savoy Hotel, where Murray makes a daredevil dive, is part of an Uber Eats campaign.
Murray filmed the commercial in Melbourne in November last year.
“It’s a big shoot,” Murray said during a break in filming. “I’ve never done anything like this before because I never had the time. But it’s fun.”
Confidential scored first-look pictures from the campaign, which premieres on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Murray, who retired from tennis following his campaign at the Paris Olympics, has returned to the 2025 Australian Open as Novak Djokovic’s coach.
At least Sir Andy the action man knows some new Melbourne escape routes if things gets testy with the boss.
