A year after making their public debut at Melbourne Fashion Week, Brodie Ryan and Nathan Buckley have stepped back into the fashion spotlight.

The footy legend and his striking brunette partner were part of the stylish set at Melbourne Fashion Week’s opening night showcase at the Regent Theatre on Monday night.

Buckley was captivated by the avant-garde runway featuring designers including Jason Grech, J’Aton and Sean Rentero, who dressed Ryan for her first Brownlow Medal last month.

The theatre x fashion show was unlike any other runway with performances and cameos from the cast of Moulin Rouge, including leading lady Alinta Chidzey who closed by singing in a billowing and stunning J’Aton gown.

Also in the crowd was former Miss Universe Australia Maria Thattil in a bright pink two piece J’Aton masterpiece previously worn by Bec Judd. Thattil said she is very happy with her new partner, former AFLW player and mum of two Moana Hope.

Speaking of love, engaged couple Ruby Brownless and Josh Wallis will organise their wedding for 2025.

Hannah Dal Sasso, partner of tennis ace Thanasi Kokkinakis, looked stylish in a two piece suit alongside friends and fellow influencers Izzy Armitage, Phoebe Chakar and Jasmine Tavares.

Miss Saigon star Seann Miley Moore made a bold entrance in a see-through gown alongside chef Khanh Ong.

Grech, celebrating his 20th year in the industry, changed all his runway looks to black at the eleventh hour.

“With everything going on in the world, it just felt more suited so I redid it and finished at 3pm today,’’ he said.

Melbourne Fashion Week continues today with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander designers celebrated at the ganbu marra runway at The Lume.
