AFL stars wed in lavish off-season celebrations
There’s been a flurry of footy nuptials during the off-season as loved-up footballers and their partners tie the knot in lavish ceremonies.

Footy weddings have bookmarked the Christmas and new year periods with a swag of stars tying the knot.
At the end of 2023 new Fremantle recruit and former Hawthorn midfielder Jaeger O’Meara married Tory Packer in a picturesque seaside wedding in WA.
“Married my favourite person,” the couple wrote on social media.
Among guests were footballers Jack Gunston, Stephen Coniglio, James Sicily and former player Dale Thomas.
Also on December 22 new Melbourne recruit and former Saint Jack Billings married Sarah Joyce in Melbourne.
Former footballer turned social media star Daniel Gorringe also married on the 22nd, exchanging vows with Ana Cannon at her family home in Shoreham.
Carlton star Sam Docherty was among the groomsmen.
“It has always been you,’’ the couple wrote on social media.
The first footy weddings of 2024 have taken place, kicking off with Adelaide captain Jordan Dawson who married his long-term partner Milly Dutton on January 3 at Kingsford Homestead in South Australia.
In attendance were Crows Rory Sloane, Taylor Walker and Brodie Smith along with Sydney’s Luke Parker, Callum Mills and Sam Reid.
Carlton and former GWS midfielder Zac Williams tied the knot with partner Rachel on January 4 in the Royal Botanic Gardens.
The couple, who share an adorable daughter named Ayla, had Port Adelaide’s Jeremy Finlayson and his wife Kellie in their bridal party. Guests included Collingwood’s Jack Crisp and Bobby Hill.
On Saturday January 6 Bulldogs midfielder Jack Macrae married Lou Macleod in Yea with celebrations including his teammates Marcus Bontempelli, Aaron Naughton and Tim English.
Another notable wedding was Melbourne Storm star Cameron Munster marrying Bianca McMahon on New Year’s Eve at Mitchelton Wines.
