Comedian Tommy Little has given dating apps the flick, but admits he is lonely.
“I’m lonely but it’s better than being on dating apps,’’ Little, 34, said.

“I got abused a lot for having a fake profile... so I just retreated.
“I went on a couple of dates but it’s really hard because if I have a good date I go, ‘ok, I’m going to be touring, I can see you on Tuesday in two weeks’.
“Not many women would say that’s great, that’s awesome.”

Little said he would love to start a family but it’s been hard with a successful career in comedy, TV and radio.
“I feel like professionally my life is going great which means privately my life is an absolute mess,’’ he said.
“My next day off is not til June. I just don’t have any time for a private life.
“My friends have all got kids and are settling down now. There’s only so many times you can be like the seventh chair at a dinner party before you go, ‘this is pathetic’.
“And everyone is hanging off their chair waiting for a singles story. What did you do on the weekend. I’m like, ‘Nothing, got room service and went to bed’. They’re like damn it and go back to talking about their kids.
“I’d love to have kids. I only get to see the fun bits. Being an uncle is like being a bad dad. Then you bugger off and leave these gremlins. My poor sister is like, ‘what have you done’.”
Little has a Melbourne International Comedy Festival show, Self-Diagnosed Genius, and is guest editor of CONFIDENTIAL tomorrow.
