What can people expect from your show at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival?

Dazza and Keif are best mates and semi bro-fessional breakdancers from the suburbs.

The show presents a twist on the traditional drag formula by foregoing lipstick and eyeshadow for wraparound sunnies and reflective tracksuits.

Expect high-energy dance nostalgia, hyper-masc homoeroticism and obscure Shannon Noll references.

COMEDY LEGENDS WITH BRAND NEW SHOWS THIS YEAR

What have you been up to since last time you were here?

After an award-winning sold-out Melbourne Fringe Festival, Dazza and Keif snatched the crown at So You Think You Can Drag 2018 and took their breakdance skillz and suitcases full of frangers on tour.

The boys were met with rave reviews at Adelaide Fringe and have returned to their hometown for their first ever MICF.

Who should see your show, and why?

Our show is for people who lost a part of their soul the day Nollsie was robbed of Idol ’03. Folk who like to smash the patriarchy while smashing a tinnie and have bedroom breakdance moves ready to be unleashed.

If you want to laugh so hard you develop a six pack and V-Lines (and we aren’t talking about drinking VB on the train to Bendigo) this is the show for you.

What’s your No.1 tip for people coming to see a show at the comedy festival?

Support the little guys, go see something you’ve never heard of.

Which other comedians/shows are you keen to see at this year’s festival, and why?

Dazza and Keif are frothing on the new Fringe Wives Club show, Glittergrass.

Also Double Denim, Dane Simpson and The Very Good Looking Initiative’s new work, Poopie Tum Tums.

What stands out to you about Melbourne and/or its people?

Dazza and Keif are local Melbourne performers who love this city’s creativity, beautiful queer community, vibrant arts scene and good coffee.

Who or what is your comedic inspiration, and why?

Zoe Coombs Marr, Aunty Donna, Kevin and Perry Go Large, Kath and Kim, and local and international drag artists like Nina Bonina Brown, Alyssa Edwards, Leather Lungs, Weird Alice and so many more.
