What can people expect from your show at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival?

Jokes, stories and free iPhones.

I love being in the moment and letting whatever happens happen.

WHAT TO SEE IF YOU DON’T LIKE STAND-UP COMEDY

NEWBIES AND RISING STARS TO WATCH

One time, in the middle of a show, my mum called and told me that my pregnant wife’s water had broken, just to prank me.

So you never know what’s going to happen.

If you’re new to MICF, tell us about you. If not, tell us what you’ve been up to since last time you were here.

I’m a father, a husband and my favourite TV show is America’s Funniest Home Videos. Watching grown men get hit in the nuts is the purest form of comedy.

I’ve been a stand-up comic for eight years in NZ. Racked up a bunch of award nominations, I’m on TV all the time, I’ve been called the comedic voice of a generation, etc, and now its time to see if Aussies think I’m funny.

Spruik it! Who should see your show, and why?

Anyone who wants to laugh and have a good time. Why? NZ Comedy Guild Male Comedian of the year Nominee 2016, 2017 and 2018 that’s why.

What’s your No. 1 tip for people coming to see a show at the comedy festival?

This is more of a tip for going to any comedy show. Be generous with your laughter.

The more you give it up the more the comedian feels the energy and the more they put into their performance.

Nobody has a good time when you’re selfish with your laughter.

Which other comedians/shows are you keen to see at this year’s festival, and why?

James Roque, Melanie Bracewell, Guy Montgomery. Honestly, anyone from NZ because when it comes to comedy we punch well above our weight.

What stands out to you about Melbourne?

I like how everyone dresses like a homeless magician, I think that’s really cool.

Who or what is your comedic inspiration, and why?

The host of America’s Funniest Homes videos, Tom Bergeron.

Anything else you want us to know about you or your show?

I can’t guarantee that there will be free iPhones at the show.
