What can people expect from your show at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival?

Chipper is a collection of hilarious stories and jokes that I’ve gathered and worked on over the last year.

I thought of all of the things that have amused me the most and bundled them into a show to make everyone leave feeling happy.

YOUR GUIDE TO THE 2019 MELBOURNE COMEDY FESTIVAL

What have you been up to since last time you were here?

Since MICF18, I had my first tour with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, I had my television debut on Tonightly with Tom Ballard, I’ve worked as a comedian on cruise ships and I’ve toured Australia.

Spruik it! Who should see your show, and why?

Anyone who enjoys upbeat, positive comedy that doesn’t punch down.

If you’re looking for an inclusive show that won’t make you feel bad about yourself in any way, this is the show for you.

It’s good, light-hearted fun and I won’t involve you in the show in any way unless you involve yourself.

What’s your No.1 tip for people coming to see a show at the comedy festival?

Come with an open mind and enjoy yourself. The audience plays a huge role in the success of a comedy show. If you’re enjoying it and you’re not too shy to do so, let out that big laugh!

Which other comedians/shows are you keen to see at this year’s festival, and why?

I’m looking forward to seeing Cal Wilson, Joel Creasey, Jude Perl, Alice Fraser, Cassie Workman, Corey White and Daniel Connell.

They’re all outstanding comedians and wonderful humans, too.

What stands out to you about Melbourne?

Melbourne’s the cultural heartland of Australia.

There are always a million things to do, great food on every street corner and I won’t mention the coffee so I don’t look like a complete loser. (The coffee’s the best).

Who or what is your comedic inspiration, and why?

I don’t necessarily have a comedic inspiration. I really love the work of some comedians, though.

I would love to have a career as illustrious as Cal Wilson’s while being one of the kindest people alive, too.

I also think Rhys Nicholson’s jokes per minute ratio is out of control.

Whenever I’m writing new bits I always think of Rhys and try to make them as punchy as possible.
