What can people expect from your show at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival?

Six totally unique and jam-packed shows, all glued together by the enigmatic and charismatic Jackie Lime.

BRITISH AND IRISH COMEDIANS TO SEE THIS YEAR

TOP COMICS REVEAL THEIR FAVOURITE COMEDIANS

We’re pretty sure Jackie means well, but every attempt of his to be taken seriously in showbiz ends with either someone dying, something exploding, or somebody macking on.

What have you been up to since last time you were here?

We started Talkie Time as a one-off midnight show at MICF 2018 to a half-filled room at The Improv Conspiracy.

One year and 15 shows later, the fanbase, hype, and the cast of characters has grown beyond our wildest imaginings.

We’re absolutely vibrating with excitement over the chance to debut our weird little baby to a whole new audience.

Who should see your show, and why?

You, your mum, your high school SOSE (studies of society and environment) teacher, and anyone who wants to see something new, surprising and deliciously weird.

What’s your No.1 tip for people coming to see a show at the comedy festival?

Take a chance on something new, and sit right upfront — that’s where the jokes are funniest.

Which other comedians/shows are you keen to see at this year’s festival, and why?

We’re lucky to have had so many talented friends drop by Talkie Time in the past who have their own shows.

Hit By A Blimp, Cool & Smart, Josh Chodziesner, Medicated Panic Dream Girls and Woah, Alyssa! just to name a few.

Also, we managed to get tickets to James Acaster just in time.

What do you love about Melbourne?

Almost all of us are from Melbourne originally, and we’re proud to live here.

It’s a city that loves the arts, supports its night-life, and isn’t afraid of trying new and different things.

Who or what is your comedic inspiration, and why?

Doing a talk show, we know we’re on well-trodden ground, but comedians like Scott Aukerman, Eric Andre and the people over at Get Krack!n have all taken the format to weird and exciting new heights, which is exactly what we push ourselves to do with everything.

Anything else you want us to know about you or your show?

We love what we do and we hope you will, too.

It’s a special experience watching a Jackie Lime show.

So much love and energy goes into it, and we’re humbled by the fan response so far.

Also, if you’re not 100 per cent satisfied by the end, you have our permission to punch Jackie right in the stomach, and he’ll thank you for it, too.
