What can people expect from your show at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival?

Nobody dies in this one.

If you’re new to MICF, tell us about you. If not, tell us what you’ve been up to since last time you were here.

THE A-Z OF COMEDIAN Q&AS

YOUR GUIDE TO THE MELBOURNE COMEDY FESTIVAL

I’ve had a cracker year, some good luck, filming Have You Been Paying Attention?, Hughesy, We Have a Problem and some other stuff.

My live stand up is still my favourite though.

Who should see your show, and why?

My show is not for kids or the faint of heart.

Nurse is in the title for a reason.

You have some very real, funny conversations with strangers as a nurse and this show is very much in that vein.

What’s your No.1 tip for people coming to see a show at the comedy festival?

Take a punt on something unknown — the evolution of talent is amazing to watch and the acts will be so grateful.

Which other comedians/shows are you keen to see at this year’s festival, and why?

Always watch Damien Power — his hour longs are stunning.

I do love me a good showcase, too, and Dan Willis’ Best of British at the Exford always brings a killer UK crew over.

What do you love about Melbourne?

I would live in Melbourne in a heart beat — family want to stay in South Australia.

I love the variety in each suburb — you don’t even have a bad bit.\

People say Frankston — I love Frankston even.

Who or what is your comedic inspiration, and why?

I never watched comedy before I did it and now I only watch it live.

People align me with Fiona O’Loughlin and sometimes Tom Gleeson — I love this pair.

Anything else you want us to know about you or your show?

Laughter is best enjoyed with your mates, bring a gang.
