What can people expect from your show at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival?

People can expect really funny jokes and stories about toxic masculinity, homophobia, and peanut allergies.

Also there is some really great sexting dos and don’ts and some good sex advice in general.

THE A-Z OF COMEDIAN Q&AS

COMEDY SHOWS TO SEE WITH YOUR MATES

SHOWS TO SEE WITH YOUR PARENTS

What you’ve been up to since last time you were here?

Since last year I toured around the United States and started a new sex and dating podcast that’s kind of geared toward catholic people who grew up with shame around sex.

Spruik it! Who should see your show, and why?

The show is for everyone. It’s upfront, relatable and, most importantly, always funny.

Sure I’m a 43-year-old straight white guy dripping with privelge, but don’t let that get in the way of the fact that I love making people laugh.

What’s your No.1 tip for people coming to see a show at the comedy festival?

Keep an open mind and let yourself laugh early on before the vibe takes off.

A giving audience makes a better atmosphere and a better atmosphere makes the comedian better. Win win.

Which other comedians/shows are you keen to see at this year’s festival, and why?

Urzila Carlson always kills me.

I love Nadeem Hussein also.

Plus, whether I am on it or not, I love the Little Dum Dum Club.

What stands out to you about Melbourne and/or its people?

One of the best cities in the world. It’s where cool people from elsewhere go to question whether they were ever actually that cool.

Who or what is your comedic inspiration, and why?

Richard Pryor because he had the whole package.

When I was a child I had no idea about the subjects but the minute he spoke I laughed.

As a comedian I am in awe of the stuff he made funny.
