What can people expect from your show at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival?

Esther Hicks is “Vibrationally” Speaking is an intimate, hilarious and outrageous show which is run like a real motivational workshop, based on the bizarre real life teachings and original “Law of Attraction” gurus, husband and wife team, Jerry and Esther Hicks.

Or in other words, a lot of what “The Secret” was based on.

Audiences can prepare to be entertained like a real Esther Hicks workshop – Esther Hicks incarnates “Non – Physical entities” she calls Abraham, which speak through her and give her audience worldly advice about life.

Come and learn the three steps to entering the vortex.

Let the manifestation begin.

If you’re new to MICF, tell us about you.

This is my first MICF show.

I’m an actor with over 15 years’ experience and I’ve lived in Melbourne for five years.

I love comedy and over the past year have just started to do stand-up regularly. This is a theatre show though, and the idea came from exploring my own “Self Help” a couple of years back and landing upon Esther Hick’s teachings, which I then couldn’t resist turning into a show.

Spruik it! Who should see your show, and why?

Anybody and anyone who’s ever had a try at Self Help, “The Secret”, “Law of Attraction”, “Manifestation” and anything any Facebook or Instagram Guru has told you– come along to this. We promise it will be a very vibrational experience!

Whether you’re a real Esther Hicks fan, or don’t even know who she is – it doesn’t matter because you’ll get all the education that you need including the three important steps to “Enter the Vortex’ and be on “The Leading Edge”!

Did we mention you can purchase “Golden Vibrational” seats to have a special interactive experience with Esther in the show?

What’s your No.1 tip for people coming to see a show at the comedy festival?

Prepare your night out, but also try to remain open to seeing something different, new, or smaller – take some flyers at town hall (like ours) and therefore take a risk and chance! Those are often the best nights.

Which other comedians/shows are you keen to see at this year’s festival, and why?

There’s so many — it would be great to see Kitty Flanagan do her return season.

I would also love to see Melbourne comic, Stu Daulman do his comedy “masterclass” show.

I would also enjoy Urzila Carlson, Mel Buttle, Judith Lucy and Becky Lucas who are always great.

What stands out to you about Melbourne?

I’ve lived in Melbourne for five years and what stands out is its culture for creativity, it’s clear distinct seasons for city events and festivals and its “vibe” all year round.

In Melbourne people know what is coming and they prepare for it and get excited by it and they love their comedy.

Melbourne has a bit of everything — history, smarts, elegance, class and fun.

Who or what is your comedic inspiration, and why?

I love the quirky and weird of the mundane of every day life — like for many people, Seinfeld is probably the biggest single comedian’s work I’ve watched through Seinfeld the TV show or stand-up and I love seeing how one person made the everyday extra-ordinary.

Anything else you want us to know about you or your show?

It’s going to be a lot of fun so get in before tickets sell out for our short season.
