What can people expect from your show at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival?

I Want You is a late-night comedy spectacular at the Melbourne Town Hall.

It’s silly, uproarious and jam-packed with special guests, jokes, songs, and all things romantic.

Each night there will be a different comedy superstar as a guest for Cindy Salmon to date, and there will be musical accompaniment by Alice Tovey & Ned Dixon.

What have you been up to since last time you were here?

Last year, I was a Moosehead Award recipient with my solo show, Empowerful (directed by Declan Fay & Tessa Waters).

The show received rave reviews, sellout crowds and landed in Time Out Melbourne’s top reviewed comedy fest shows to wrap-up the festival.

Since then, I have been working on a brand new variety show for this year’s MICF.

Who should see your show, and why?

I Want You is for people who love absurdity, guest interviews, hilarious characters and incredible music.

Audiences can see legends being interviewed by me, and they can meet upcoming comedy superstars — it’s a great way to see what’s happening in Melbourne’s incredible comedy scene.

What’s your No.1 tip for people coming to see a show at the comedy festival?

Pre-book your tickets, take a chance on shows you think you’ll enjoy, and tell people about shows if you liked them.

Also, don’t forget to refuel with some hot chippies.

Which other comedians/shows are you keen to see at this year’s festival, and why?

There are so many amazing comedy acts this festival.

Fringe Wives Club, Dilruk Jayasinha, Guy Montgomery, Breast of the Fest, Tunes and Tales, Charity Werk, Alice Tovey, Haus Party, and so many more.

What do you love about Melbourne?

Melbourne LOVES its comedy.

The comedy festival truly takes over the city for an entire month and it’s so awesome to see.

Who or what is your comedic inspiration, and why?

There are so many comedy superstars I look up to and draw inspiration from, but someone who has a special place in my heart is Gina Riley.

She is so talented, strong, and has heavily influenced the types of characters I love to play (strong, yet silly women) since I was a child.
