What can people expect from your show at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival?

Three young, medium and large comedians doing stand-up comedy, in turn.

I’ll be telling jokey jokes and also rambling stories about talking crocodiles and new solutions to anti-vaxxers.

BRITISH AND IRISH COMEDIANS TO SEE THIS YEAR

TOP COMICS REVEAL THEIR FAVOURITE COMEDIANS

Tell us about you.

I’m a late 30s comedian who lives in Canberra.

I have two large dogs, and one small house.

I make films, make money, and make light of the big things in life through non-situational, highly differential abstract positing.

Who should see your show, and why?

My shows aspire to giving the audience the feeling that they’re just seen a film, with funny stuff in it.

If you are looking for something that’s a little foggier than the mainstream, but still funny, with enough resonance to leave you thinking about it for a while to come, then try out Three Blind Men.

What’s your No.1 tip for people coming to see a show at the comedy festival?

Trust the comedian.

Which other comedians/shows are you keen to see at this year’s festival, and why?

Keen to see Anthony Tomic, Nina Oyama, Andrews Andrew, Constable Tim, Roger Floorsberry, and the G. K. Double DoubleAct Act.

What do you love about Melbourne?

Melbourne is like Seattle, without the Tom Hanks. It always looks like it was raining about three hours ago.

Who or what is your comedic inspiration, and why?

Austen Tayshus is my comedy inspiration.

His ability to read the crowd, interpret the room, and improvise and interweave theoretical and highly fantastical concepts and ideas into the real-world is always amazing to me.

He creates the hyper-real.

Anything else you want us to know about you or your show?

We’ve got a stack of deals to get discounts on drinks and meals at nearby restaurants and bars in Chinatown, so it’s worth the price of the admission in discounts if you love to eat and drink … and who doesn’t love eating and drinking.
