What can people expect from your show at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival?

Bella Green is Charging For I t is a wild ride through the hilarious world of the adult industry, where the heels are high, the carpet is sticky and the customer is probably wrong.

I’m here to answer all the questions you didn’t know you had.

Like why is booking a companion so similar to ordering a salad?

What really goes on in a peepshow?

And how can you get away with wearing Uggs while being a cold, hard dominatrix?

BRITISH AND IRISH COMEDIANS TO SEE THIS YEAR

TOP COMICS REVEAL THEIR FAVOURITE COMEDIANS

If you’re new to MICF, tell us about you.

I’m new to MICF! Charging For It is my first solo show. It was nominated for Best Comedy at Melbourne Fringe 2018 and played to sold-out crowds and rave reviews at Perth Fringe World 2019.

Who should see your show, and why?

My show is for anyone who’s ever been curious about what goes on behind the scenes in the adult industry. I’ve worked in brothels and strip clubs, peepshows and dungeons, massage parlours and adult shops, and I’ve lived to tell the tales.

What’s your No.1 tip for people coming to see a show at the comedy festival?

Take a punt on an unknown comic and have a ‘I was there when …’ moment.

Which other comedians/shows are you keen to see at this year’s festival, and why?

The Breast of the Fest — what a solid line-up of up-and-coming female comedians.

What stands out to you about Melbourne and/or its people?

I’m originally a Perth girl, but I’ve lived in Melbourne for 13 years and it’s definitely home for me.

There’s something for everyone here — arts, sports, food, a broken ferris wheel.

Who or what is your comedic inspiration, and why?

Sophie Willan. She manages to bring so much light and joy to even the darkest topics.

Also Chase Paradise, who very much paved the way for me with her show Ho Life or No Life at MICF 2018.

Anything else you want us to know about you or your show?

I’ve been described as authentic, hilarious and uplifting.
