Honest and at times humiliating, no topic — not even his parents — is off limits in comedian Amos Gill’s latest show.

Don't miss out on the headlines from Comedian Q&A. Followed categories will be added to My News.
What can people expect from your show at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival?
An hour of non sanitised material.
It’s packed with very personal and borderline humiliating stories. It’s funny and honest.
These rants about modern sensitivity and a look at how relationships with our parents define us.
Also, I tell a story about my disappointing evening with a porn star.
I like to think the show is dirty and sweet.
Nannas who like to party, get something out of this show. Does that make sense?
YOUR GUIDE TO THE 2019 MELBOURNE COMEDY FESTIVAL
THE COMEDIC INSPIRATIONS OF TOP COMEDIANS
What have you been up to since we last saw you here?
Last year I moved to LA and toured the world with Jim Jefferies. I performed at Madison Square Garden, Rod Laver Arena and the Aldinga RSL.
Who should see your show, and why?
People that like their comedy delivered by comedians who aren’t trying to keep their PG-rated media job.
What’s your No.1 tip for people coming to see a show at the comedy festival?
Some of us find the Melbourne crowds to be the most sensitive in the country.
Comedians are almost always prosecuting ideas for the sake of being funny.
It’s not a rally or a TED talk. Have a good time.
I know you’re all very cool and ironic, but let loose.
Which other comedians are you keen to see at this year’s festival, and why?
Other comedians with talent upset me.
Thus I am not keen to see Nick Cody, Becky Lucas, Luke Heggie, Mel Buttle, Ronny Chieng, Damien Power.
I hate writing this, there are so many.
This makes me realise why I don’t get on the Gala.
What do you love about Melbourne?
I like that I can watch footy at the MCG and then walk 15 minutes and be at a world-class art gallery.
I’ve never done it, but it’s nice to know I could.
Who or what is your comedic inspiration, and why?
Bill Burr. Greg Fleet. Jim Jefferies.
This bloke in the Adelaide United Cheer squad who yells at the ref.
Anything else you want us to know about you or your show?
I am selling my 2008 Subaru Liberty. $8000 ONO.
Condition: I’ve never put oil in it.
