THE laidback, likeable and laconic Daniel Connell delivers comic relief to the disquiet of modern-day life.

LIKE most of us, Daniel Connell just wants some quiet, a break from the white noise of life or, as his show title suggests, a bit of shush.
This premise underpins his 50 minutes of stand-up that’s sometimes so dry it’s veritably dusty.
STEVEN K AMOS: GADGETS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR FOOD AND GLADIATORS
STUART DAULMAN: ON THE LAST TRAIN TO GLORY
So much of this show will be relatable (I’m so with him on the inherent and ridiculous dangers of hot-air ballooning), and you find yourself smiling long after the gag has departed. The lady in the fourth row had a serious tittering moment there for a while.
Connell is a natural story-teller and his linguistic link of “let me give you an example” peppered his conversation with his audience.
JOEL CREASEY: BLONDE BOMBSHELL’S HYPE REEL FILLING FAST
ADAM ROZENBACHS: A TRUE MELBOURNE COMEDIC GENIUS DELIVERS
His routine is dense with ideas and he neatly returned to some themes. Nice work.
So if you can’t get some shush, then go see the likeable Aussie, Daniel Connell. You’ll feel much better for the experience.
