Who is Caitlyn Jenner’s style icon? Clue: it’s not a Kardashian

SINCE her spectacular coming out on the cover of Vanity Fair, Caitlyn Jenner has shown she’s got some serious style. But who’s her sartorial inspiration?

EVER since her spectacular coming out on the cover of Vanity Fair, Caitlyn Jenner has shown herself to be something of a burgeoning fashionista. In a new episode of her reality show I Am Cait, however, the reality star has revealed she has one very particular style icon: Angelina Jolie.

“The bottom line is, I really need a professional to co-ordinate everything,” Jenner says in the episode. “[Celebrity stylist Jen Rade] does Angelina Jolie and I just love her look. Very casual, very elegant, chic, so I’m dying to meet her.”

Jenner, of course, famously wore a stunning white wrap dress to The ESPYS in July when she was honoured with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award — a look not too dissimilar from a gown Jolie wore to the Golden Globes in 2012.

Jenner, of course, has also shared similar sartorial tastes with her famous family.

During the premiere episode of I Am Cait, Jenner picked out a black Tom Ford dress while going through her wardrobe with stepdaughter Kim Kardashian.

“Mom has that,” a bemused Kardashian told Jenner, referring to Kris Jenner. “It will be a ‘who wore it better?’ She has it in chocolate brown.”

Indeed, Jenner came face-to-face with ex-wife Kris (on camera, of course) during the latest episode of I Am Cait. Speaking before the meeting, Jenner described her relationship with her ex-wife as non-existent.

“Kris and I right now? I learn more about her by reading stuff online,” she told cameras. “It’s been tough, I feel bad about it. Because it’s so important because I’ve always wanted to keep a good relationship with her because of the kids.”

When the two finally meet, it’s awkward, to say the least.

“Look at you,” Kris Jenner says to her former spouse. “Nice shoes!”
