We need to talk about Pitbull’s tight white pants at the World Cup Opening ceremony

IT’S been branded “the biggest issue in Brazil right now” — Pitbull’s outfit at the World Cup opening ceremony. What was he thinking?

Where was Pitbull’s sparkly leotard? Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte perform alongside

PITBULL, aka Mr 305, Mr Worldwide and Lil’ Chico, now has a new nickname to add to his collection of monikers — Harry High Pants.

The American rapper was given the honour of singing at the World Cup opening ceremony in Brazil alongside Jennifer Lopez last night, but the problem is, no one knows what they sung because all anyone could focus on were his high-waisted, cropped white pants.

Said pants were just as high from the back.

Pitbull donned loafers and a Brazil jersey tucked in — we repeat, tucked in — to the tight white capris for his performance in front of hundreds of millions of viewers. Brave man.

And he copped a serious amount of fashion flack in the process.

Buzzfeed called the trousers “diaper pants” and “mom jeans”, while Twitter users said he looked like the “the Cuban Simon Cowell”.

Lopez, on the other hand was wearing no pants at all, opting for a skimpy leotard with tassels on the back.

But not even her busty sequined bodysuit could distract from the intensity of his pants.

For the record, Pitbull, Lopez and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte sang the World Cup anthem, We Are One (Ole Ola).

And despite the trouser trouble, the rapper still has one fan out there:
