USERS of the Xbox One are reporting a peculiar phenomenon — ‘Breaking Bad’ star Aaron Paul is turning on their consoles.
Manufacturer Microsoft released an advertisement earlier this month that shows Paul using the voice command function to activate the device, Cnet reports. Now gamers are complaining their consoles are turning on whenever the ad is aired.
The sensitive microphone in the console has been designed to allow users to switch the device on, even from across the room, with the command “Xbox On”. Other commands use the Kinect sensor to allow remote launching of games and to access to the Xbox store to buy related goods.

The effect has some gamers pondering why Paul’s other filmed voice commands don’t also trigger a response from their Xbox units and querying if the company intended it to happen.
Users affected by the issue can turn off the Kinect sensor to prevent the console responding to voice commands.
