A NEW Zealand director has managed to upstage some of the world’s biggest actors on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival.
Taika Waititi, who directed Thor: Ragnarok and Hunt For The Wilderpeople, stole the show with a series of hilarious poses on a red carpet event that also featured Ryan Gosling.
The Academy Award nominee, 43, is on the film festival’s competition jury this year alongside Aussie actor Naomi Watts, Django Unchained star Christoph Waltz and The Shape Of Water director Guillermo del Toro.
The festival runs until September 8 and Lady Gaga, Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix are all expected to attend.
