“I want it to be a day filled with memories of her incredible work and love for the way she did it.

Anecdotes and memories of the late princess are making their way into the media ahead of the quarter century milestone since her shock death.

Express Online reports that Princess Diana once dressed up as a gay man with the assistance of Queen star Freddie Mercury.

Actress Cleo Rogers recalled that the singer helped the Princess dress up in the unusual style so that he could sneak her into the Royal Vauxhall Tavern nightclub.

The pair were caught “giggling and nudging each other like naughty schoolchildren” the actress claims.

And according to The Sun, Dr Jane Collins of Great Ormond Street Hospital recalls a visit from the royal in the late ’80s.

“The minute she arrived on the ward and was with the children and their families, she became totally relaxed, sitting on the edge of the beds and treating each child she met and his or her parents as if they were the only people in the world she wanted to talk to,” she says.

“Our abiding memory of Diana is a warm, compassionate princess with a deep affection for babies and children, comfortable with people from every background, of every nationality and in whatever circumstances they met.”
