Netflix may cover Meghan and Harry in UK as experts say Sussexes want ‘woke royal family’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will want cameras and crowds at their upcoming UK and Europe tour to save it from looking “embarrassing”, according to experts.

Royal commentator Natalie Oliveri suggests Netflix cameras are likely to follow Meghan and Harry to the UK.

According to The Sun, Ms Oliveri claimed whilst writing for Honey9: “It’s highly likely the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will bring a production crew with them to Germany and England in the coming weeks.

“After all, for this visit they have no restrictions imposed by the Royal Family about what they can and cannot film.

“Netflix cameras were reportedly banned from covering Prince Harry and Meghan’s visit during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June.

“Crews were not given official accreditation for the four-day weekend and warned they would be ‘moved on’ if spotted near the royal events.”

Charlotte Griffiths, The Mail on Sunday’s editor at large, also said that the Duke and Duchess will likely have a Netflix crew with them filming for a documentary, and the former working royals want to avoid “embarrassing” moments in front of the cameras.

Ms Griffiths said: “I think they released these dates in advance because they want to give a chance for crowds to gather.

“Because, if they do have a Netflix crew with them, imagine how embarrassing it would be if there were just three people there waving.

“They want us to get all excited and talk about it, they want it to look like a royal tour.”

It comes as Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, are trying to create their own “woke” royal family, according to royal biographer Angela Levin, who said the Duchess of Sussex “doesn’t like losing”.

The royal commentator told FEMAIL that Meghan felt “enormous bitterness” because she was unable to modernise the royal family.

“I’ve thought for a long time that Harry and Meghan are trying to create an alternative woke royal family,” she said.

“They are people who are very determined to show that their way is the best way.

“And I think Meghan, who doesn’t like losing, she likes to win, feels enormous bitterness and resentment towards the royal family for not letting her modernise the royal family.”

Ms Levin said her impression was that the controversial couple claimed they didn’t want to be royals, yet were “hanging on to their titles very, very tightly”.

“When Meghan goes anywhere, she always uses her royal title. Now, why do that if you don’t actually like the royal family and you wanted to get shot of them?

“So that’s why I think there’s a big plot and a plan to show how awful the (royal family) are. And I think that in Prince Harry’s books, and in that terrible interview with Oprah Winfrey, was trying to smash the Royal Family and the monarchy down.”

During the interview, Ms Levin also claimed Prince William would want to avoid Harry until he’s had a chance to read his younger brother’s memoir.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams also weighed in, telling FEMAIL that the rift between the Cambridges and the Sussexes was “very deep”, and that a reunion between the couples in the near future “probably won’t happen.”

HARRY, WILLS RIFT COULD GROW DEEPER

Prince Harry and Prince William reportedly still haven’t put their differences behind them, but their rift could yet grow deeper, a royal expert has claimed.

Royal author Phil Dampier has claimed there will be no chance of a reconciliation for the brothers until after Prince Harry’s highly anticipated book is finally published.

However, the bombshell memoir may make things worse rather than better, he warned.

The Sussexes will return to the UK next month for a string of charity events.

And while they’ll be staying at Frogmore Cottage on the Queen’s Windsor estate — days after Prince William and Kate Middleton move into their new home, Adelaide Cottage, just 800 metres away – there’ll be no meeting between the families.

Instead, it’s understood the royals will be keeping their distance from each other during the trip.

Mr Dampier said the royal family are likely awaiting the release of Prince Harry’s tell-all book, which currently has no firm release date. However, the book has reportedly been written and signed off by publishers, according to The Sun.

“I can’t see any chance of a reconciliation between the Sussexes and the Cambridges until Harry’s book is out of the way,” Mr Dampier said.

“And it’s likely to make things worse!”

Reports suggest the book’s publisher, Penguin Random House, will try to get it on the shelves for the Thanksgiving and Christmas market in the US.

It’s understood ghostwriter JR Moehringer completed the manuscript in recent months.

Prince Harry says his autobiography will be “heartfelt and intimate”, but it’s feared it could stoke up new troubles with the royals.

He has been researching the life of his mother Princess Diana — and insiders worry he will blast his stepmother, Camilla, who has been named future Queen Consort.

Sources say the Queen was the only member of the family who Prince Harry informed about the writing of his memoir.

Angela Levin, who spent a year with Prince Harry as she wrote his biography, said she believes Mr Dampier’s prediction is “quite right”.

She has previously quoted a “well-informed source” who said the book will “focus heavily” on Prince Harry’s mother.

“I’ve been told by a well-informed source that Harry’s memoir will focus heavily on the death of his mother Princess Diana, and who he blames,” she said.

“If it’s going to be intimate, as he says, I fear he risks looking like a traitor to the royal family.

“I think he is going to smash again. I don’t know why. Does he want to destroy his family?

“Does he feel so vengeful that he has to take yet another knock after Oprah and Finding Freedom?”

It’s believed Prince Harry and Prince William have spoken face-to-face just twice since the Sussexes moved to California.

They were pictured chatting after Prince Philip’s funeral. Prince Harry then returned to London to unveil a statue of Princess Diana alongside his brother.

But the two men are believed to have kept out of each other’s way during the Jubilee celebrations, and didn’t acknowledge each other during a service to celebrate the Queen in London.
