Prince William and Prince Harry’s turbulent relationship is unlikely to be resolved soon, according to claims from a royal expert.
The Prince of Wales “can’t forgive Harry” for thrusting his family in the spotlight following Megxit, Katie Nicholl told US Weekly.
The Prince of Wales reportedly sees Prince Harry’s exit as the reason his young family has been prematurely moved to the centre stage of the royal family.
Ms Nicholl said the Duke of Sussex’s decision to leave left “a huge impact on him, on Catherine, on their young family.”
“It put them in that prime sort of centre. It moved them centre stage far sooner than they would otherwise have been,” Ms Nicholl said.
“A lot of it was how he chose to do that and what William saw as great disrespect to the institution and to his, to his family, to his grandmother.”
According to the royal expert, the 40-year-old heir to the throne believes his children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven and Prince Louis, four, now have more attention placed on them.
Both Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended the state funeral of their late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, last month.
The Daily Mail reported Ms Nicholl also believes King Charles will try to heal the relationship between his sons.
