Controversial British TV personality Piers Morgan has again lashed out at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, telling the couple to stop “whining” because people are sick of them.
Morgan – who has long been a critic of Prince Harry and Meghan – again slammed the estranged royals during an appearance on US TV host Sean Hannity’s show on Fox News.
He suggested the Sussexes take a tip from the Queen and “pipe down” about their personal or family struggles.
He went on to suggest the two should “give up their titles, stop whining 24/7, and try to take a leaf out of the book of the Queen – whose nickname, Lilibet, they’ve hijacked for their daughter”.
“Take a little tip from the Queen: less is more,” he went on. “And if you want to be a royal, a member of the royal family, less is more.
“We are hearing too much of your yapping, too much of your whining, it’s time to pipe down,” he added.
“They are very happy to trade off their titles, but at the same time they want the right to trash the Queen. I think it’s sickening to people [in the UK].”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan are hoping to cream off even more megabucks deals — by hiring the business guru behind pop star Nicole Scherzinger’s yoghurt ads.
The couple are trying to sign up the Pussycat Dolls singer’s 30-year-old adviser Ollie Ayling as a full-time consultant.
He was instrumental in winning Scherzinger lucrative endorsements, including tie-ins with a range of yoghurts and vitamins, helping her amass a $A40 million fortune.
Ayling has worked with Scherzinger for almost seven years as her manager, but has had talks with the Sussexes in California.
The couple have already signed a $A200 million deal with Netflix and a $A50 million deal with Spotify for their podcast.
But despite Buckingham Palace fears of the couple cashing in on their royal status, they are pressing on with plans for more deals in the US and worldwide.
“Harry and Meghan are rapidly expanding their business empire and want the best in the business to help,” a source reportedly told The Sun.
“Ollie Ayling has been key in guiding Nicole’s career, making her money and keeping her relevant, so he was deemed a perfect fit.
“The Sussexes are already way more famous than the Pussycat Dolls. Now they want a fortune bigger than Nicole’s.”
As well as endorsement contracts, Ayling looked after Scherzinger as she landed roles in Disney films Moana and Ralph Breaks the Internet.
He also helped her return to the judging panel on The X Factor and got her similar roles on The Masked Singer USA and Australia’s Got Talent in 2019.
Prince Harry and Meghan are thought to have netted more than $A420 million since quitting royal duties and moving to the US early last year.
Meghan has published her first children’s book called The Bench, for which she is thought to have been paid a $A1 million advance.
HARRY, MEGHAN ‘DIDN’T INTRODUCE LILIBET’ TO QUEEN
And according to a royal insider, Prince Harry and Meghan did not introduce their newborn Lilibet to the Queen via a video call.
Last week, a source said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex introduced Her Majesty to their daughter on a video call after they returned from hospital.
But doubt has been cast over that claim after a Palace insider told the Mail on Sunday:
“No video call has taken place. Friends of the Sussexes appear to have given misleading briefings to journalists about what the Queen had said and that took the whole thing over the edge.
“The Palace couldn’t deny the story that this was a mistruth.”
QUEEN’S ‘SECRET’ NOD TO HARRY, MEGHAN
The Queen reportedly gave a secret nod to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at the G7 summit in Cornwall with a very special brooch, it has been claimed.
The 95-year-old monarch was seen at the Eden Project in Cornwall last week wearing her Millet Brooch, which has a poignant tie to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, reports The Sun.
The Millet Brooch was given to the Queen in 2007 by the President of the Republic of Botswana at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Uganda.
The stunning gold accessory is shaped like a sorghum, also known as millet, which is the main crop of Botswana.
Royal fans were quick to link the Sussexes to the brooch, as Botswana holds a special place in Meghan and Harry’s heart because they headed there on their third date.
Prince Harry booked a stay at the $A2800-a-night bush camp Meno a Kwena in August 2017, buying two plane tickets from London to Johannesburg, before boarding a private two-hour flight to Maun International Airport.
The couple had only been on two dates at London’s Soho House’s Dean Street Townhouse but were smitten with one another, excerpts from Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s book, Finding Freedom, claim.
Prince Harry spoke of the Botswana trip in his BBC interview, and revealed: “I managed to persuade her to come join me in Botswana, and we camped out with each other under the stars.”
Prince Harry previously told Town & Country in 2017: “This is where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world.”
Botswana is so special to the couple, that the main stone in Meghan’s engagement ring is from the African country.
The couple’s engagement was announced in November 2017, and the pair married in May 2018, before welcoming baby Archie the following May.
The couple stepped down as senior royals in March last year, and relocated to California, where they have since welcomed baby Lilibet.
During her G7 appearance, the Queen charmed the world by cracking jokes as she hosted a dinner for leaders at the G7 summit.
Joe and Jill Biden and Emmanuel Macron were left chuckling at Her Majesty’s quips at the Eden Project indoor rainforest in Cornwall.
As they posed for a socially distanced group photo, the 95-year-old monarch asked the question possibly on all their minds.
She said: “Are you supposed to be looking as if you’re enjoying yourself?”
The presidents and prime ministers alongside her could not help bursting into laughter, as Boris Johnson replied emphatically: “Yes!”
Following a day of heavyweight political talks, the power of “soft diplomacy” was put into action when three generations of the royal family gathered to welcome the leaders to Cornwall.
The Queen hosted an open-air reception at the Eden Project in Cornwall and was joined by the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
William and Kate are taking part in their first G7 events – another milestone in their progression as senior royals.
WHAT KATE SAID TO CHARLES AT DINNER
Meanwhile, he may be the Prince of Wales and the future king to us regular folk, but it seems Prince Charles is just “grandpa” to his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton.
The Duchess of Cambridge appeared to have used the moniker for her father-in-law during a meeting at the G7 summit, according to a lip reader.
Kate and Charles accompanied the Queen, along with Prince William, Camilla, at the Eden Project in Cornwall on Friday for an evening reception with some of the world’s leaders.
Upon arriving, the duchess greeted her father-in-law, and a lip reader told CornwallLive that she said: “Hello Grandpa, how are you?”
Prince Charles is grandfather to Kate and William’s three adorable kids – Princes George and Louis and cheeky Princess Charlotte – so the name is only fitting.
The pair also shared a sweet moment at Prince Philip’s funeral back in April as Kate pecked grief-stricken Prince Charles on the cheek.
The lip reader also revealed some of the other remarks shared between the royal family as they walked through the gardens to meet world leaders.
It’s been reported that the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, was holding the Queen’s “shawl” as she spoke with the monarch.
The lip reader claimed that Camilla had asked her mother-in.-law if she would like to wear the garment, to which the Queen reportedly said: “You have it.”
During the dinner, Kate also paid a sweet tribute to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, by wearing her beautiful three-strand pearl bracelet.
