Just days after marking a decade of marriage, Prince William and Kate’s only daughter Princess Charlotte is celebrating her sixth birthday.
The couple released a new photograph of the young princess, taken by Kate this weekend in Norfolk, eastern England.
The informal photo shows Princess Charlotte smiling and wearing a blue floral dress.
Princess Charlotte was born at 8.34am on May 2, 2015 at the private maternity Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, weighing 3.7kg.
As the second child of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge she is fourth in line to the throne.
In September 2019, Princess Charlotte started school at Thomas’s Battersea, joining her older brother Prince George.
Second-in-line to the throne William, and Kate, married at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011.
Earlier in the week the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared new photos and a family video of them enjoying time with their children at the beach and roasting marshmallows around a fire.
“We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family,” they said on Twitter.
