Prince Harry’s aunts attended Princess Lilibet’s christening

Two members of Prince Harry’s family did go to Lilibet’s christening, despite the event being snubbed by senior royals.

Members of Prince Harry’s family did go to Princess Lilibet’s christening — despite it being snubbed by King Charles and senior royals, The Sun reports.

The Sussexes christened their 21-month-old daughter in an intimate ceremony earlier this month which was followed by a party at their Montecito home in California.

It has now been reported that Prince Harry’s aunts on his mother’s side did attend.

Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, the older sisters of Princess Diana, were among the guests at the California ceremony, Marie Claire reports.

Prince Harry and Prince William have remained close to their aunts and uncle on their mother’s side since Diana’s tragic death in 1997.

Lady Jane Fellowes gave an emotional reading from the Song of Solomon at the Sussexes’ wedding in 2018.

People magazine reported there were between 20 and 30 guests at the christening on March 3, including the Duchess of Sussex’s mother, Doria Ragland, Lilibet’s godfather, Tyler Perry, and an unnamed godmother.

Lilibet was given her formal royal title of “Princess” for the first time in the announcement of her christening.
