Meghan Markle and Prince Harry book Finding Freedom to be revised

Finding Freedom, the explosive book about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, is set for a major revision as details about the couple’s 2018 Australian tour emerge.

Harry's pals 'threaten to expose royal secrets'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “heartbreak” over Prince Philip’s death will be detailed in the new epilogue of Finding Freedom, the book’s publisher has confirmed.

The paperback edition of authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s royal biography will be available on August 31, which is the 24th anniversary of the death of Harry’s mother, Princess Diana.

“In the new epilogue, Scobie and Durand share behind the scenes of Harry and Meghan’s groundbreaking interview with Oprah (Winfrey), details behind the couple’s move to California, the various philanthropic and business endeavours the Sussexes have been involved with since their move and what’s to come with Archewell Productions,” HarperCollins said in a statement, per Page Six.

The updated book will also explore Markle’s “emotional healing journey from losing a child” to the birth of her and Harry’s daughter, Lilibet Diana, to the “continuous challenges the couple faces regarding privacy and the British press”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex — who quit the royal family in January 2020 — heard the news that the Duke of Edinburgh had died at age 99 in April at their California home.

It was reported that Harry had to be woken by the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department during the night with the news.

Harry, 36, made the trip back to the UK solo as Markle, 39, was heavily pregnant with Lilibet at the time.

In London, he was forced to confront his relatives for the first time since his and Markle’s bombshell interview with Winfrey.

Harry is set to write an “intimate and heartfelt memoir” and has promised to give an “accurate and wholly truthful” account of his life, to be published in late 2022.

WHY HARRY WAS ‘ANGRY’ IN AUSTRALIA

Prince Harry was “angry” during his 2018 royal tour of Australia with wife Meghan Markle, an expert has claimed.

Journalist James Longman travelled with the couple during their 16-day visit to Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand, and believes Meghan was the catalyst for Prince Harry’s exit from the royal family.

Speaking on a recently unearthed US documentary, Royal Divide: Harry, Meghan, and The Crown, the journalist said: “For me, maybe, Meghan is the woman that set Harry free”.

Longman also said that Prince Harry appeared “angry” during the Australian trip, claiming the pressures of royal life were already affecting the couple.

In March, Prince Harry told Oprah Winfrey he felt “trapped” by the royal institution – claiming his father Prince Charles and brother Prince William were in the same position.

“They don’t get to leave,” Harry said. “And I have huge compassion for that.”

Meanwhile, another royal expert has claimed William will “suffer the most” when Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir is released next year.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine in the UK, said Prince Harry’s controversial book would cause “mayhem” as he could say “inappropriate things” about the royal family, with terrible consequences for Prince William.

Seward claimed that a potential attack on the monarchy could jeopardise Prince William’s future as second-in-line to the throne.

“William is probably the one that will come out of this worst of all because there is a row between William and Harry and basically if Harry says things that are inappropriate about the monarchy, that is William’s future,” she said.

“It’s not Harry’s future, he is out of it now, but it is William’s future.”

Seward said the book would also be “hurtful” for Prince Charles, who has not commented on the situation since his son’s bombshell interview with Winfrey.
