Prince George steals the spotlight from new sister by being unspeakably adorable

GEORGE isn’t about to relinquish the title of cutest royal without a fight. He made that very clear as he arrived to meet his sister.

He’s still the cutest. No, not William. The other one.

PRINCE George did not get the memo.

There’s a new royal baby in town, you see. A little girl, who has already made her first public appearance to a chorus of coos and delighted squeals around the world.

His Royal Georgeness is no longer the only child, and that means he suddenly has competition in the cuteness stakes.

She’s been alive for mere hours, but the princess is already owning hat fashion.

But George is not going to relinquish the title of Most Adorable Person in the Line of Succession (sorry Charles) without a fight. He made that very clear overnight, as he arrived at St Mary’s hospital with the Duke of Cambridge to meet his new sister.

By all accounts, it was the most successful royal toddle since William himself made the same journey to meet a newborn Prince Harry in 1984.

And people say history doesn’t repeat itself.

Senior sources close to my mother tell news.com.au George was the very personification of cuteness as he implored William to carry him, before turning and waving at the assembled crowd.

Those rosy cheeks. The furrowed brow. The perfectly parted hair, and absurdly long socks with buckles. George is all things to all people: broody but accessible; aloof but relatable; majestic but unashamedly into short shorts.

Thankfully, at least one photographer had thought to wait outside the hospital on the off chance that something interesting might happen there. Because of that person’s incredible foresight, you now have the chance to see George’s cuteness for yourself.

WARNING: There are many, many adorable photos below. Please calm yourself before proceeding.
