Prince Andrew bombshell memoir is apparently in the works

Eyeing the success of Prince Harry’s Spare, Prince Andrew is said to be considering a tell-all memoir to fund his post-royal lifestyle.

WRITTEN out of the Queen’s will and kicked out of the palace, Prince Andrew is apparently considering a tell-all memoir to bankroll life after the monarchy.

The Duke of York, who is said to have been excluded from his family’s inheritance, has been talking about a memoir as a serious prospect after losing his taxpayer-funded lifestyle, according to friends quoted by The Daily Beast.

“It’s being talked about regularly. Sarah has had real success with her books and has great publishing contacts. Harry’s book has proved that there is no shortage of appetite for stories about the royal family. Why shouldn’t Andrew tell his side of the story now his mother is gone?”

Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson last week said she was proud to be supporting her family with the smash success of her two romance novels, which she’s in talks to develop into to major US television series.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also hit paydirt with their Netflix series and memoir, which broke sales records and ensured the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s financial freedom after leaving the royal family.

Royal expert Neil Sean told News Corp Australia “lots and lots of publishers” have contacted Prince Andrew seeking rights to his tell-all memoir, but that The Duke of York was unlikely to ink a deal while living on Crown estates at the pleasure of His Majesty.

“The book that Prince Andrew would like to write is not his memoirs, but about his time as an active part of the naval team regarding the Falklands War,” Mr Sean said.

“He sees this as a far more interesting and valiant story given the recent anniversary. But the bottom line is, of course, publishers simply don’t want to pay for that type of book. They want more scurrilous, gossip revealing things like that.”

Mr Sean, a long-time royal author who chronicles the palace’s daily headlines on his YouTube channel, said Prince Andrew would do nothing to make life difficult for himself while he’s living on Crown estates.

“This is simply because he lives there at the goodwill and gesture of the King,” Mr Sean said.

“Prince Andrew is very keen to keep his public profile public, but on his terms.”

Despite the fallout from his last media appearance to dispute allegations made by Australian-based accuser Virginia Giuffre, The Daily Beast reported that Prince Andrew may be left with no alternative funding source after being left “bewildered’ he hasn’t received an inheritance.

“He has done everything he has been asked to do. He settled the lawsuit, he kept a low profile, he hasn’t complained. His mother always valued his loyalty,” the friend told the Beast “She would be aghast at his allowance being reduced. He may have to write a memoir.”

Reports emerged last week in The Sun that the Queen’s £650 million fortune ($A1.2bn) automatically went to King Charles in the absence of a will, with the monarch-to-monarch inheritance avoiding any tax under a 1993 law over the transfer of assets.

“Andrew is in despair. He’s been left completely in the dark. Andrew’s a member of the family, for God’s sake, yet he had no idea this was coming. I gather he’s checked it out and it’s true. It’s all gone ‘monarch to monarch’,” a friend said, according to the UK’s Telegraph.

“What’s he meant to do? Go cap in hand to his older brother to keep a roof over his head? Things are going from bad to worse. It’s a disaster.”
