The failure of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to get a picture with The Queen and other senior royals has infuriated Netflix.
The streaming service has paid the couple tens of millions of dollars for a fly-on-the-wall series featuring the couple - and a royal biographer claims Netflix will be outraged they came away empty-handed from their UK trip to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
“I heard Netflix wanted these pictures of them with the royals,” self-proclaimed royal expert Angela Levin.
Ms Levin, who has written biographies on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said such pictures would have been “valuable”.
“Because they would have sold it. It would be very valuable, very valuable to them,” she said..
Reports from the UK suggest that the California-based couple wanted their personal photographer to take happy snaps of the 96-year-old monarch and Lilibet — but were snubbed, with one anonymous source claiming they were told: “No chance. It was a private family event,” according to The Sun.
Ms Levin said it was “incredibly cheeky” for Harry to ask for the picture - but other insiders claim such a picture was never requested because The Queen wasn’t feeling well.
The Sussex’s did not spend any private time with William, Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis during their brief Jubilee visit.William’s family reportedly declined an invitation from Harry and Meghan to attend Lilibet’s first birthday party, due to a diary clash that saw he and Kate in Wales.
