Meghan Markle’s Forces for Change Campaign targeted by online trolls

Meghan Markle asked the public to nominate who is worthy of attention as part of her new campaign. She got a cutting response.

Wait, the Royals are worth how much?!

Supporters of the Kate Middleton and Prince William have trolled Meghan Markle and Prince Harry following the couple’s recent Instagram post.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a post on their official Sussex Royal account asking their followers to nominate their “Forces for Change”, The Sun reports.

The couple wanted to hear about people who their fans ‘look up to’ and next week will follow 15 accounts to acknowledge those Forces for Change.

The post, which was shared earlier today, was inundated with comments from people who suggested Kate and William.

One wrote: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, obviously.”

Agreeing a second added: “Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate should be on the Vogue cover!”

A third wrote: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge.”

Several complained that comments nominating Kate and Wills were being deleted from the post.

Fabulous Digital has contacted the palace for a comment.

This is of course not the first time that the palace has dealt with trolls when it comes to the two Duchesses.

In March palace officials published rules for those posting or commenting on its social media channels in a bid to tackle hateful comments.

The moves to block abusers and pursue the worst legally follow growing alarm at trolls targeting Kate and Meghan.

Both Duchesses have faced offensive and sexist comments on Instagram and Twitter.

Meghan and Harry’s post today comes just days after it was announced that guest-edited the September issue of Vogue.

The Duchess of Sussex selected 15 women to star on the front cover, herself not included, that she admires and sees as a Force for Change, and today asked her followers to nominate theirs.

Other popular nominees included Prince Harry’s grandmother the Queen with many commenting to suggest the monarch.
